2009 Queensland Camp update

The QLD camp was a great success!! ..

The club wishes to thank Bill Sweetenham for his very appreciated participation in the QLD Super Centre Camp! Bills support of KSC is one that can't be topped.

Bill Sweetenham - 4 times Olympic Head Coach, 11 years Head Coach Australian Institute of Sport, World Record Coach, Olympic Gold Medal Coach.

All reports from the camp were so positive, comments like "the best Kings experience ever" have been made. Our swimmers have returned tired yet exhilarated and inspired moving into the LC part of the season. We are looking forward to some terrific results in the coming LC Meets.

Thanks to the organizational skills of both Karen Rowbotham and Mandy Stewart coupled with Phil King's welcomed assistance, the fabulous commitment of ALL families to the program, Jeremy's input as "coach", all bundled together making this year's camp a very memorable and extremely positive event.

Parents and swimmers were very impressed that they were able to visit St Peters Western and meet Head Coach Michael Bohl [2008 Australian Coach of the Year], Olympian - Kenrick Monk, etc.

Of course Bill's sessions were as always inspiring! What an experience it was to be there!

Thank you to our committed committee members who travelled up to QLD and their hands on approach to ensure a smooth running of the camp.
